Race for the Cure

I've fallen behind on my blogging lately so I'm trying to catch up now! On October 3rd Kenneth and I along with the kiddos (except Zac, he was sick ), participated in Race for the Cure. We enjoyed walking, along with the fun activities they had for the kiddos. Ashlee, the kids awesome babysitter came and we also ran into my friend Laura Lowe who is a survivor.
Her daughter Madelyn went to pre-school with Abigail and they were very happy to see each other. It was a great day. It was moving to see all the participants who joined this great cause.

Weekend Getaway!

We had one last getaway before school started. We went to Amarillo. We went to the Amusement Park, the Water Park and the Zoo there. We stayed at a hotel with an indoor pool. We had such a good time! My favorite part was just getting to be together as a family!

Colorado Trip

Kenneth and I went to Colorado. We spent one night in Denver. We shopped at an outlet mall, wine tasted, and hot tubbed. The next day we took a 3 hour drive to Nathrop to Mt. Princeton Hot Springs Resort. It was so much fun! The first day we were there we hung out at the hot springs pools and went down the 350 ft. waterslide. The 2nd day we went whitewater rafting down the Arkansas River for 13 miles which took about 5 hours. It was an exhilarating experience. Our last day we took a 2 hour horseback ride through the mountains. The whole trip was very refreshing and relaxing. There was beauty all around us the whole time! Ruidoso

Kenneth and I went to Ruidoso a few weeks ago for some rest and relaxation. We love the mountains, pine trees, and peacefulness. We stayed in the same cabins we stayed in before. We did go to the horse races. I had never been before so that was a lot of fun. We also ended up adopting a yellow lab named Lincoln from the Humane Society. On our way to the races we noticed that they were showing some dogs up for adoption. We instantly fell in love with Lincoln. He is about 4 years old, trained, house broken, calm, and very very sweet. We are looking forward to going to Colorado at the end of July for our next trip!
